The conception of the "Sacrée 2CV" project and the final production of the disc were a joint effort on the part of two great lovers of the Citroën 2CV: Caracal and Communimage Productions.
COMMUNIMAGE PRODUCTIONS
Founded at the end of 1995, Communimage are a non-profit association dedicated to the gathering together of sound and image professionals. They are located in Joinville-le-Pont (the "Cradle of Cinema"), in the Val de Marne region near Paris.
Their objectives: to create, manage and defend the living audio-visual heritage of France and elsewhere.
CARACAL
All musical production, including the songwriting, the organisation of the singers and musicians as well as the sound recording were carried out by Caracal.
Located for almost 15 years near Paris in the Seine et Marne region, Caracal is a well known sound recording studio and music publishing company used by many professionals in the French music industry.

Her own disc, that was what was missing!
Asked to film all kinds of events, one day, Communimage were accosted by a group of 2CV fans.
Curiously enough, whilst editing the video, we were unable to find either musical composition or song written in honour of the "Sacred 2CV."
Because the 20th Century lacked such a motorcar, one man, Pierre Boulanger, took it upon himself to create her. The immortal 2CV was born in 1948.
Her very own CD was also lacking. That was obvious.
Thus Communimage, whose main thrust is video production, decided to join forces with Caracal, the music publishing company. Together they created four original songs - musical scores and words alike - for the legendary and divine 2 CV.

An old love story!
The final decision to produce this CD, stems from an old love story with this marvellous motorcar as the paramour.
12 years behind the wheels of several 2CVs is hardly mere happenstance.
One never forgets one's first loves. We, too, have ours!!!
For her passionate and most faithful lovers, we reckoned that for an exceptional motorcar, the sequel to an exceptional history is well-deserved...
Therefore we cut out the CDs in the form of a 2CV and numbered them to ensure they would become collector's items...
The songs have been compiled into a singular and unique CD created especially to augment the already rich heritage of the beloved 2CV.
And it will only be through the magic of music that her lovers 'round the world can ensure her immortality...
